- Choice of fastening: choose between a classic drawstring in the hem or an elasticated cord all round for quick, tight fastening.
- Storm-proof: For windy locations, we recommend eyelets (metal rings) in the hem. Select the spacing (every 25 cm or 50 cm) to anchor the tarpaulin securely to the furniture. The wind no longer has any surface to attack.
- Active breathability: Prevent mould stains and mildew from forming under the bonnet. Our optional ventilation openings (hoods) ensure optimum air circulation without letting rain in.
- Keep everything organised: On request, we can produce a practical pocket with a Velcro fastener directly on the cover - ideal for safely storing accessories or remote controls.

How do I measure my sun island correctly? Do I have to take allowances into account?
Please measure the exact length, width and height of your sun island or garden shell. Important: As this is a made-to-measure product, we strongly recommend adding approx. 2 cm to the length and width. This small addition makes it much easier to put the cover on and take it off every day and ensures a relaxed fit without tension on the seams.
Which fastening is better: drawstring, elasticated cord or eyelets?
The choice of the optimum fastening depends primarily on the location of your sun island and the frequency of use. For wind-protected patios, the drawstring in the hem is the tried-and-tested classic, which is easy to tighten. However, if you want to take the cover off and put it back on frequently, we recommend the all-round elastic cord, as it is particularly quick to attach and always stays tight. Eyelets are the safest choice for free-standing furniture in wind-prone locations: they allow the protective cover to be anchored directly to the frame with cable ties or ropes to make it storm-proof.
Can mould or waterlogging form under the cover?
As our high-quality Oxford 600D fabric has a 100 % waterproof coating, there is no air exchange through the material itself. In the event of temperature fluctuations (e.g. warm days, cool nights), the formation of condensation under such tight covers is physically unavoidable. To effectively prevent mould stains and mildew, we therefore strongly recommend selecting the „Ventilation openings“ option in the configurator. These provide the necessary air circulation (chimney effect) to channel rising damp to the outside without allowing rain to penetrate.
Does the cover become brittle or fade in the sun?
No, our cover is designed for durability. The Oxford 600D fabric is UV-stabilised. This means that, unlike cheap DIY store tarpaulins, the material does not become brittle or crack when exposed to intense sunlight. It retains its tear resistance for many years so that your furniture remains permanently protected.
How long will it take to deliver my customised product?
As we manufacture in the EU and do not import from Asia, your customised cover is usually ready for dispatch within 3-5 working days. You receive top quality without months of waiting time.
